On Saturday October 30th The Scottish Home hosted a "Harvest Fair" to kick off a year long celebration of 100 years in North Riverside. Residents, family, and friends, spent the afternoon together enjoying a variety of fall treats, a bonfire, games, and a fortune teller. Gus Nobel, President of the Illinois Saint Andrew Society, gave a brief history of The Scottish Home and presented a plaque to the Home. The plaque lists the names of the original 1910 residents and the current residents of the Scottish Home. It was a perfect fall day and everyone had a great time.

“Thank you for your kindness and gentle care you gave to my aunt…You should be proud of the good care you give your residents. Many of them cannot thank you or show their appreciation. I hope their families do because you deserve the praise and recognition.”
