SUMMER FUN AT THE SCOTTISH HOME

It has been a busy summer for the residents at The Scottish Home. They have been outside enjoying our beautiful gardens, along with a variety of outdoor activities; such as “A Breath of Fresh Air”, exercise class, and bus rides. An annual favorite is an evening of music provided by the West Suburban Concert Band. Residents tasted the sweetness of summer while attending the Strawberry Fest at Riverside Presbyterian Church and our annual Ice Cream Social. Volunteers from the Riverside Garden Club experienced the beauty of the Shetlands patio as they presented a “Garden in a Pot” demonstration which was enjoyed by all who attended. Some of the residents went on a special outing to “The Shrine of Christ’s Passion” in St. John Indiana. Summertime is always busy at The Scottish Home, and we still have a couple months to enjoy the outdoors and more fun activities.
